*Position Description & Responsibility
- Intel Communications Technology Lab (CTL) is a newly created lab within Intel China Research Center (ICRC) in Beijing with presence in Shanghai. Its mission is to make CTL lab the best Communications Technology research and technology development lab in China. Its charter includes conducting world-class research and technology development, partner with Intel biz groups to max cross-architecture value and drive Intel communications technology leadership in China.
- This (senior) researcher/engineer position is responsible for actively participating in and contributing to the evolved wireless technologies and standard, like 802.16e, 3GPP LTE, TD-SCDMA.
- The Candidate will need to work closely with US and Asia-pacific team for local and international wireless research, development and project collaboration; provide technical analysis, research, design, advanced ideas and simulation result for driving target project success and technology convergence; and may also work with other teams to contribute innovative ideas to standard body as needed.
- The candidate will be member of the wireless research team to participate in CTL advanced wireless project with the goal of innovating wireless research and development.
*Requirements
PhD/MS degree in EE or related area with experience on wireless research and development.
Broad and deep knowledge in wireless communication.
Development experience in one of the following three areas:
Internetworking among different technologies, or MAC layer processing for mixed media flow with different QoS requirement, or mobility management for service management, location management, user and terminal management.
Research and/or Development experience in one of the areas including WiMAX, 3GPP LTE, WCDMA, CDMA2000, TD-SCDMA
Experience in the WIMAX, 3GPP standard and contribution is a plus.
Knowledge and experience in OFDM system
Good experience in wireless system level simulation, methodology, and wireless link level simulation and its methodology.
The candidate must be a good team player, self motivated, fully-confident, and proactive in daily work
Excellent oral and written English are required

Customer Quality Engineer |

*Responsibilities:
Plays a key role in the local and world wide arena as the primary product quality and post sales support contact and/or expert representing Intel in the eyes of Intel's customers and accurately representing the customer's requirements and/or needs inside Intel. Enables Intel technology and product introductions, including volume ramp on through product discontinuance to the satisfaction of our customer base. Manages the overall customer quality relationship ensuring Intel's brand image for product quality and support is viewed to be leadership status in the marketplace or will devise the appropriate strategy to attain it. Will often be involved with SMG and/or internal partners to set the strategic support direction for the account and will arm SMG and/or internal partners with appropriate post sales support and Q&R related sales collateral highlighting the value of Intel's Q&R leadership. Responsibilities may include Technology enabling, NPI and volume ramp support, customer satisfaction feedback, issue escalation support, FACR and returns management, issue and excursion management and/or support and project management.
*Qualifications:
You should be a College graduate, a Master's degree is preferred majoring in Computer Science and Hardware. You must be to graduate in 2007 or 2008.

- Focus on facilitating change and improvement both within finance and in the operations we support. There are three main areas in our Finance organization:
- Operations Finance: By partnering with business groups, you will influence business decisions and provide effective analysis and proactive control. Your duties will span all activities associated with managing a successful business.
- Accounting: Our accounting team sets the standard for accounting and financial services. You will partner with internal business groups to facilitate change and process improvements while complying with external requirements.

- CTL Beijing lab (CBL) is a research and technology development lab within Intel China Research Center (ICRC) in Beijing. Its mission is to make CTL Beijing lab the best Communications Technology research and technology development lab in China. Its charter includes conducting world-class research and technology development, partner with Intel biz groups to max cross-architecture value and drive Intel communications technology leadership in China.
- In this position, you will be contributing to an ongoing strategic research project in the area of Wireless Communications related to Intel IA and LPIA platforms, with strong technical skill and team work experience, who can work with other team members in Beijing lab to achieve its mission by 1) Working with other research labs of Intel across the world and China academia and to deliver world class technologies which will have the impact on product groups' roadmap and influence China market and Govt/industry standards.
*Requirements
The candidate must have innovative research ideas, be capable of setting research project and work effectively with others as a team.
This individual must be a domain expert on wireless networking on Intel IA architecture with in-depth knowledge on latest IA CPU, chipset, memory and network I/O subsystem micro architecture.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated hands-on work experience in the development of RTL for communication subsystem or components for IA platform. E.g. chipset and interconnect. Familiarity with RTL development toolchain is a definite plus. You should have a strong background in wireless communication, and system software skill set to bring up the prototype system. Preferably, you possess a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent)
The candidate needs to have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively engage in cross-groups, as well as external industry partners, standard groups and universities research collaborations. 2 - 3 years experience required with a track record of successfully complete research projects. Fluency in English and Mandarin required. Candidates with more or fewer qualifications will be considered for higher or lower grade positions.
Experience with industry standard RTL and behavioral modeling tools, software and FPGA based simulation
Breadth of knowledge of related technologies such as FPGA technologies, and embedded processor technologies would be an added advantage
Possess knowledge of CPU bus protocols (FSB and CSI), as well as USB and PCIe bus protocols, and must have experience with FPGA development process.
Demonstrate ability to work at the architecture, micro-architecture, and logic design levels.
Understand wireless communication protocols and system architecture
Hands-on role in the hardware development, integration and validation of the products
Experience working with Altera* and Xilinx* logic devices and tools along with simulation tools (ModelSim*) is a plus
